Attorney
Julie grew up locally in Plano, Texas. She attended college at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, where she earned her Bachelor of Liberal Studies and graduated magna cum laude.
Julie worked for years in the banking and oil & gas industries before attending law school. In 2004 she applied and was accepted in the first year when Southern Methodist University reinstituted their evening law school
program.
Julie worked full-time during the day, was a single mother of two children, and attended SMU Dedman School of Law in the evening. She earned her Juris Doctorate from SMU in May 2008 and became a licensed attorney in November 2008. She immediately began working for one of the oldest and most respected family law firms in the city. Julie has always had a passion for family law.
She has experienced divorce, single parenthood, and the associated challenges first-hand which has created compassion, empathy and understanding in all facets of family law. Her ability to understand her clientele with this unique skill set helps her assist clients and their daily challenges. Like all of the attorneys at Scroggins Law Group, Julie is an aggressive advocate for her clients.
