Andrea Scott
Office Manager and Paralegal

Andrea Scott is a seasoned Office Manager with over 14 years of managerial experience in the legal industry. Prior to her work in family law, Andrea spent 10 years managing an office focused on IRS debt resolution, honing her organizational expertise and problem-solving skills.

Andrea attended The Henderson College of Business in Calgary, Canada, and in 2023 she earned a Paralegal Certification from Texas Christian University. Her client-first mindset and careful consideration make her a critical asset in navigating the sensitive emotions and complexities often associated with family law matters.

With a strong commitment to empathy, Andrea consistently ensures that clients receive the support and guidance that they need during challenging times.

Miranda Miller
Senior Paralegal – Board Certified Family Law Specialist

With over 18 years of experience in family law, Miranda Miller is a dedicated Senior Paralegal known for her expertise, professionalism, and compassion. Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2019, Miranda brings exceptional skill to cases involving divorce, child custody, property division, adoption, and other family law matters.

Since 2020, Miranda has proudly served as the Head Legal Committee Coordinator for Denton County Adoption Day. In this role, she collaborates with attorneys, court staff, and community volunteers to celebrate the creation of forever families, highlighting her commitment to improving the lives of children and families in her community.

Miranda is an active member of the Texas Academy of family law Specialists, the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Division, and the Denton County Paralegal Association, where she previously served as the Continuing Legal Education Committee Chair. Her involvement in these organizations reflects a steadfast dedication to professional growth, legal excellence, and mentoring future paralegals.
Known for her meticulous attention to detail, organizational expertise, and client-centered approach, Miranda strives to make the legal process as seamless as possible for clients facing challenging family law issues.

Haley Tarango
Senior Paralegal – Board Certified Family Law Specialist

Haley Tarango is a highly skilled Senior Paralegal with extensive experience in family law. Before transitioning to this field, Haley built a strong foundation in civil litigation, where she worked for seven years. Her dedication to excellence is reflected in her Board Certification in Family Law and her completion of the Paralegal Studies Program at Southern Methodist University (SMU).

Haley holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas, which provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the legal system and its complexities. She is an active member of the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Division, the Collin County Paralegal Association, and the Denton County Paralegal Association, where she was honored as Paralegal of the Month in June 2024.

Haley has experience in collaborative law, assisting clients who seek cooperative resolutions to family law matters. Haley is committed to supporting attorneys and clients with precision and care, ensuring each case receives the attention it deserves. Her collaborative approach and in-depth knowledge of family law make her an invaluable asset to the legal team and the clients they serve.

Lyndsay Harris
Paralegal

Lyndsay Harris has a strong academic background, having earned a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. This educational foundation equipped her with essential skills for understanding complex social dynamics and the emotional challenges faced by families in current litigation.

Before joining Scroggins Law Group, Lyndsay worked with Child Protective Services (CPS), where she gained invaluable experience in child welfare. The knowledge and insights gained during her time at CPS now significantly enhance her work as a family law paralegal.
