The next question we get is what’s the difference between legal separation and divorce? Well, in Texas, there’s no such thing as legal separation. So there’s, that’s not an option. In Texas, you could do things where if you wanted to have a partition agreement, but that’s basically like having dividing the marital estate prior to the divorce being granted. So you may or you may not want to do this. So when you talk about separation in the state of Texas, that doesn’t stop the community, a state from being created at any point during the separation. So if you separate and you end up getting divorced, but you don’t get divorced, so five, five years later, you know, the community estate has been created that entire time. So it’s important to know if you want to separate in the state of Texas, there is no such thing as legal separation
